Where the Story Begins

Shanghai MediWorks Precision Instrument Co. Ltd. was founded in 2004. Its R&D, production, business development, and operation center are headquartered in Shanghai, with a branch in Europe. MediWorks has rich experience in the research development and production of ophthalmic and dental instruments, medical imaging, and machine vision. MediWorks is committed to providing physicians with high-quality products, advanced technologies, and superior services. The devices are used in over 100 countries and by thousands of ophthalmologists.

Our History

2004

MediWorks was founded in Nanhui, Pu Dong District, Shanghai.

2005

Slit Lamp Microscope S350 was launched.

2008

First time attended AAO held in Atlanta, USA.
First time attended WOC held in HK, China.

2010

The S280s/S280/S350/S350s Slit Lamp Microscope has obtained FDA 510 (k) clearance, and MediWorks products have successfully entered the US market.

2011

MediWorks obtained the access license to enter the Brazillan market, and received the first authorized invention patent for"An ads-shift tomography device". S150 Portable Slit lamp was launched.

2012

First time attended ESCRS held in ltaly.

2016

Digital Slit Lamp Microscope S390 Firefly WDR was launched.

2018

Scansys TA517 Anterior Segment Analyzer was launched, which is the first 3D anterior segment analytic diagnostic device independently developed in China. Vision Screener V100 was launched, aiding early screening of children for myopia prevention and control.

2019

MediWorks moved to 863 software park, Pujiang Town, Minhang District, Shanghai. MediWorks serves clients from more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. SM620 Dental Surgical Microscopes was launched.

2021

FC162 Automatic Fundus Camera, DEA520 Corneal Topographer were launched. Artificial Intelligence was further applied to our devices, and our products entered an era of integrated automatic acquisition and intelligent analysis.

2023

S290 Digital Slit Lamp Microscope was launched. MediWorks slit lamp microscope has received widely praised and become the common choice of more than 50,000 ophthalmology professionals.

2024

Ophthalmic Surgical Microscope SM621 was launched.
MediWorks celebrated its 20th anniversary.

2025

Optical Biometer AL550 has launched.
